Richland Man Arrested for Sexually Assaulting 11-Year-old Child in Skagit County

Mount Vernon, WA – A 19-year-old man with a last known address in Richland, Washington has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a 11-year-old child in Skagit County.

According to a probable cause affidavit of arrest filed with the Skagit County Superior Court, an 11-year-old child reported to her mother that a 19-year-old man, who was known to her, had sexually assaulted her. The mother immediately called police to report the incident and City of Mount Vernon Officer arrived and conducted an investigation into the alleged allegations.  During the course of their investigation, it was determined that Officer believe the man had sexually assaulted the child.

The man was taken into custody and transported to the Skagit County Community Justice Center in Mount Vernon. He remains jailed in lieu of $250,000 bond. He is charged with Child Molestation 1st Degree and Rape of a Child 1st Degree.

Skagit Breaking does not identify the man arrested to protect the identity of the victim. All Subjects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
