Sedro-Woolley, WA- The Washington State Patrol responded to a two-vehicle, high risk crash around 5:38 p.m. on December 16th, 2022 on State Route 9 at Mosier Road, just North of Sedro-Woolley.
According to a press memo from the Washington State Patrol, a 57-year old Sedro-Woolley man was traveling Westbound on Mosier Road in a 2021 Toyota Venza. Troopers say the man failed to yield the right of way at a stop sign at Mosier Road and State Route 9 and was struck by a Northbound 2014 Kia being driven by a 27-year-old Sedro-Woolley man.
Local first responders attempted life saving measures and transported the 57-year old man to United General Hospital in Sedro-Woolley where he died from his injuries. Next of kin was notified of his passing by hospital staff.
Troopers say the 27-year old Sedro-Woolley man was not seriously injured in the crash and both drivers were wearing their seat belts.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
Both vehicles were impounded for safe keeping by Carl’s Towing.
I was coming down Gripp Rd and crossed Mosier at about that time and the fog was very heavy seems never to be too cautious.
