2 Teens Injured in Lynden Crash

Lynden, WA:  On March 28th, 2015 at  6:25 PM, the Washington State Patrol and Lynden Fire Department  responded to a  “High Risk” Motor Vehicle accident with entrapment on Birch Bay Lynden Road at Berthusen  Road.

 

According to the press memo, Per Wolfisberg, 17 of Everson, was Northbound on Berthusen Road in a  grey 2003 Ford Mustang near Birch Bay Lynden road at a high rate of speed. He lost control of the vehicle and it left the roadway to the right, striking a telephone pole on the passengers side. He was not injured in the accident and refused aid.

Two passengers, Gary Haagsma, 17 of Custer and Nathan Groen, 17 of Lynden  were both  injured and transported to St Josephs Hospital in Bellingham.

The Vehicle was impounded by BJ’s Towing.

The cause of the accident was listed as Speeding and charges were under investigation.

All occupants were said to be wearing seat belts and drugs or alcohol were not a factor in the accident.
