Sedro Woolley, WA: On June 11th, 2015 around 6 pm, Emergency Responders from the Sedro Woolley Fire Department responded to a fatality accident on River Road just West of Fruitdale Road in Sedro Woolley.
Arriving units found a motorcyclist down and initiated C.P.R. on the rider.
The Skagit County Sheriff’s Office responded and requested traffic accident investigators from the Washington State Patrol.
According to the press release from the Washington State Patrol, Greg Ross, 29, of Sedro Woolley was Westbound on River Road in a 2006 Chevrolet Tahoe, just West of Fruitdale Road when he initiated a U-Turn in a pull-out.
Timmothy Savoie, 51, of Sedro Woolley was also Westbound on River Road on a black 1992, Kawasaki EX250F . When the Tahoe made the U-Turn, the Kawasaki motorcycle struck the side of the Tahoe.
The driver of the Kawasaki, Timmothy Savoie was pronounced dead at the scene.
The cause of the accident is under investigation and charges are pending.
The press memo states the motorcycle rider did not have a motorcycle endorsement but was wearing a U.S. D.O.T. compliant helmet.
The driver of the Tahoe was not injured and the vehicle was driven from the scene.
The motorcycle was impounded by Carl’s Towing.
Charges are pending against the driver of the Tahoe.
