Whatcom County, WA: The Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office responded to a 9-1-1 call from a Real Estate agent at 5056 Noon Road today in Whatcom County. The agent was reportedly at the home for an open house.
The Real Estate agent found a man and child under 2 years old, dead on a bed with a gun laying next to them and a woman laying on the floor with a gun shot wound to her left chest. Officers on scene stated the woman had been there for “about three days.” She was still alive and transported to the hospital. Her condition is unknown but she is expected to survive.
A Search of homes for sale on Noon Road in Whatcom County pulled up the address of 5056 Noon Road. The home has been on the market for 26 days and was built in 1992. It is listed as a 2,084 square foot, 3 bedroom, 2.75 bath home on 4.77 acres. It is listed for sale for $396,000.
The Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office has responded to that same address for a woman with mental health issues recently. In April of this year, the woman’s husband told officers that his wife was extremely paranoid and was having thoughts that her cell phone was being tapped and her ID was being stolen. The outcome of those mental health issues are unknown at this time.
The Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office believes the man and child died at the hands of the woman with the gunshot wound to her chest. They said it appears to be a domestic violence situation and are calling the two deaths a double homicide.
According to media reports the woman has admitted to officers that she shot the man, whom she called her husband.
A dog that was in the home was picked up by the Whatcom County Humane Society.
The names of the victims have not been officially released but the Lummi Nation School K-12, has released information on the murdered man and child.
The Lummi School made this statement on their Facebook Page: “Lummi Nation School is deeply sadden by the loss of an incredibly dedicated and beloved teacher. Our thoughts, prayers and love go out the Jordan family and to the students and staff of the Lummi Nation School. Mr. Michael Jordan and his son, Miles will be deeply missed. The LNS administration would like to ask that we continue to keep our children in your thoughts and prayers as we continue to keep you updated and current about additional information related to this tragedy. LNS administration will be meeting with LIBC Behavioral Health and school counseling staff in the morning to coordinate grief counseling. We have been in contact with the Jordan family to express our profound sorrow and deepest condolence. Please continue to hold them in your thoughts and prayers as well. Students and Staff of the Lummi School also asked for thoughts and prayers for the Realtor, Stephen Mullenix. Stephen a realtor for Fairhaven Realty, was the man that found the bodies. He had heavily promoted the homes “Open House” on social media prior to the gruesome discovery.
We pulled the homeowner records for the address and found that the home has been owned by the same man since 2006 and he was married in November of 2013.

The Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office says additional information will be available on Monday. They were on scene for most of the day Sunday.
