Mount Vernon, WA – The Mount Vernon Police Department has arrested a Mount Vernon Man on charges of Rape of a Child in the 1st degree, Child Molestation 1st degree and Incest 1st degree.
In July of 2015, a 12 year old child disclosed to an adult that a family member of hers had been forcing himself on her, touching her and forcing her to have sex with him. The adult reported this to the Mount Vernon Police Department.
The child involved was interviewed by detectives. She was able to describe to detectives in detail, several instances when she was less than 12 years old and the man had forced her to have sex with him.
The man was arrested and is being held in the Skagit County Jail on $150,000 bail for the charges listed above.
