Sedro Woolley, WA– A Sedro Woolley man was arrested by Skagit County Sheriff’s Deputies after an investigation by his employer and deputies found images of child pornography on his company issued laptop computer.

According to a probable cause affidavit, the case started back on September 30th of 2015 when the company CFO contacted deputies because they believed an employee may have been viewing images of minors engaged in Sexually explicit conduct on a company computer. The company terminated him at that time.
On October 1st, 2015 deputies reviewed a full report for web activity for the man provided by the man’s employers computer diagnostic department.
On November 10th, 2015 the hard drive from the laptop was turned over to Mount Vernon Police Departments digital forensics examiner. While reviewing the hard drive, they located several images that they recognized from previous cases that contained images of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct.
According to the probable cause affidavit, of 39 image records reviewed by the digital forensics examiner, 37 of them depicted minors ranging in age from toddler to around 12 years old being victimized.
On December 8th, 2015 Detectives interviewed the man at his residence. The man admitted to viewing depictions of minors as young as 5 or 6 years old engaged in sexually explicit conduct on his work issued computer multiple times. He denied ever printing, downloading or sharing the photos.
The man was charged in March of 2016 with 5 counts of viewing depictions of minors engaged in sexually Explicit conduct in the 1st degree and 5 counts of viewing depictions of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct in the 2nd degree.
The man has not been convicted of the crime, so skagitbreaking.com has chosen not to name him. His next court date is in May of 2016.
