Mount Vernon, Washington- On April 4th, 2016, Mount Vernon Officers Responded to the Emmanuel Baptist Church in the 1500 block of East College Way around 3:50 am for reports of a burglary in progress.
Arriving Officers searched the building and found a female hiding in a maintenance closet with what appeared to be food from the church’s refrigerator with her.
Officers detained her and found debit cards belonging to another person that had been reported stolen on 3/24/16, a US government license plate, as well as stolen food from the church in her possession.
The woman told Officers she broke into the church because she was cold and hungry.
She was charged with Burglary 2nd, theft 2nd and PSP 2nd.
