Updated: Couple Missing from Arlington, Washington

Arlington, Washington-   Pat Shunn and his wife Monique Patenaude, have been reported missing by family members after they disappeared  and have not been heard from near Arlington, Washington. The couple was last seen on Monday, April 11th, 2016.  Neighbors reported the couple missing on Tuesday afternoon after finding their livestock unattended.

Pat went to work on Monday but did not show up for work or call in to his employer, an aircraft-interior refurbishing company, located in Kirkland, Washington. Family and friends say this is uncharacteristic of him.

Monique, who goes by the name Kat Blu on Facebook,  was last seen around 1 p.m. on Monday near the couple’s home in the 27800 block of Whitman Road, near the West end of the site of the Oso Mudslide.

 

Family members believe the couple is missing under possible suspicious circumstances after a continued argument with a neighbor.

Court Records obtained through a public disclosure request show the couple are in a legal dispute with neighbors, concerning trespassing on their property with ATV’s and unleashed dogs.

Erik Shunn, the brother of the missing man told SkagitBreaking.com that one  neighbor in particular  had been harassing the couple and is not a good guy. He said the neighbor had previously sold his property but had been “squatting” there and causing problems.  That  neighbor hasn’t been heard from or seen since the couple and their vehicles went missing.  Erik believes if Snohomish County Sheriff’s Deputies can find him, they will possibly get some answers about the missing couple.

The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit is now involved in the case and are asking the community for help in locating the couple or their vehicles. Both of the couple’s vehicles are missing  and their cell phones have been shut off.

The vehicles they are associated with are a TAN (originally reported as being Champagne colored)  colored 2000 Land Rover Discovery. Washington Armed Services Plate #AR02639

Also Missing is a a black 1995 Jeep Wrangler plate number WB02789.

The Sheriff’s Office said they do not have any suspects in the case at this point.  The missing couple’s family has set up a hashtag on social media to follow the case #findpatandmonique.
