Trout Minimum Size Limit Change on Baker Lake

Baker Lake, Washington– The Washington Department of Fish and wildlife (WDFW) released a press memo today, April 19th, 2016  regarding a trout limit size change for Baker Lake.

According to the press memo the W.D.F.W is changing the minimum size limit for trout at Baker Lake to 10 inches between April 23rd, 2016 and June 30th, 2016. .

The change affects all trout species at Baker Lake.

According to the press memo, as  part of a study to evaluate the collection efficiency of the new juvenile fish collection facility on trout, fish up to 10 inches in length with pit tags have been released into the lake. Current regulations are being amended to protect the study fish.

Anglers are asked to handle these fish with extreme care and release any trout caught smaller than 10 inches.
