Man Takes Own Life at Cowboy Campground

Skagit County, Washington– Skagit County Sheriff’s Deputies, Medic 1 and Firefighters from Lyman and Punkin Center responded to a 9-1-1 call around 12:30 am this morning at the Cowboy Campground in the 6800 block of Medford Road.

According to online audio records, obtained by SkagitBreaking.com, a woman called 9-1-1 and reported that her boyfriend had tried to take his own life.  Cell phone service in the area was spotty and the woman was able to use a landline nearby to recontact dispatchers.

Deputies, Firefighters and  Medics arrived on scene and attempted CPR, but were unable to revive the man.

The Skagit County Coroner will release the official cause and manner of death.
