Yakima County, Washington- The Washington State Patrol responded to a serious injury crash on Eastbound Interstate 82 at Exit 29, one mile East of the Selah City Limits. around 8:42 am on June 18th, 2016.
According to a press memo from the Washington State Patrol, 26-year old Valentina George of Bellingham, Washington was Eastbound on I-82 near exit 29 when she lost control of her gold 1995 Mazda Millenia 4 door. The vehicle left the roadway and rolled into the median. The driver was injured and transported to Yakima Memorial Hosptial.
A passenger in the vehicle, Travis George, 36 of Bellingham, Washington was injured and transported to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, Washington.
The Vehicle was totaled and impounded by Central Salvage Towing for safe keeping.
The press memo states both occupants were wearing seat belts and drugs or alcohol were not a factor in the crash.
The Cause of the crash is under investigation and charges are pending against the driver.
