Mount Vernon Police Respond to Stabbing Incident

Mount Vernon, Washington– The Mount Vernon Police Department responded to an early morning stabbing this morning.

According to a press release from Lt. Chris Cammock with the Mount Vernon Police Department, at around 1:10 am, a 15-year old  juvenile male had just left a party and was walking  in the 2600 block of East Division Street when he was confronted by approximately five other juveniles and a fight started.

During the Physical confrontation, the 15-year old victim was stabbed multiple times.   He received serious but not life-threatening injuries.  The Juvenile was able to walk into a nearby store and Officers from the Mount Vernon Police Department were contacted.

The 15-year old was transported by medics to the Skagit Valley Hospital where medical staff determined one of his injuries was to the head, so he was transported to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle for further medical treatment.

The suspects in the case are not unfamiliar to the victim and the Mount Vernon Police have persons of interest in the stabbing and are actively looking for them.
