WSP: Two Injured in Oak Harbor Crash

Island County, Washington- The Washington State Patrol responded to a injury crash on E. Crescent Harbor Road at Valley Road in the City of Oak Harbor around 8:52 am on July 6th, 2016.

According to a press memo from the Washington State Patrol,  35- year old Lawrence McBride  of Oak Harbor was traveling Eastbound on Crescent Harbor Road in a Maroon 1997 Oldsmobile Cutlass when he crossed the center line and struck a Westbound 1997 Volvo 960 driven by 45-year old Lisa Lerch of Oak Harbor.

The press memo states the driver of the Cutlass was not wearing a seat belt and was injured and transported to Whidbey Health.

The driver of the Volvo was reported to be wearing a seat belt and was injured and transported to Whidbey Health.

 Both Vehicles were impounded to the Washington State Patrol Bullpen in Burlington for further investigation.

The cause of the crash is listed as Driver left to Center and Charges are pending against the driver of the Cutlass.
