The tree line sustained heavy fire damage  and some  wooden structures on the Summerson Greenhouse side of the fire were damaged. Firefighters quickly had the fire contained.

A witness, Carl Loeb wrote on the Skagit Breaking Facebook page that “ The fire was started by the folks (kid) next door who set fire to the pyramadalis between the two properties that in turn set some wood frame structures on fire.”
