Arlington Man Seriously Injured in Crash on SR530

Arlington, Washington- The Washington State Patrol responded to a serious injury crash on SR530 involving a motorcyclist and a vehicle.

According to a press memo from the Washington State Patrol, Troopers responded to the crash on SR530 at Jim Creek Road, around 8:48 pm on August 13th, 2016.

According to Troopers, 57-Year old David Nutting, of Arlington, was traveling Eastbound on SR530 on a 1998 Suzuki 600FW Motorcycle at a high rate of speed when he struck a Grey 2005 Ford Escape that was turning Westbound onto SR530 from Jim Creek Road.

The driver of the Ford Escape was identified as 46-year old Akali Gartner of Marysville and the press memo states she was not injured. A 9-year old female passenger in the vehicle was also not injured.

Troopers said the motorcyclist was wearing a US DOT Compliant Helmet and was seriously injured. He was transported to Harborview Medical Center.  Speed is cited as the cause of the crash and drugs or alcohol are not suspected as a factor.

The Motorcycle was impounded to North County Towing for safe keeping.
