Mount Vernon Man Injured in Crash on Bennett Road

Skagit County, WA – The Washington State Patrol responded to a high risk crash in the 17000 block of  Bennett Road, 1 mile West of Mount Vernon around 2:17 a.m. on February 1st, 2017.

According to a press release from the Washington State Patrol,  a 26-year old Mount Vernon was Southbound on Bennett Road in a 2008 Honda Civic. His vehicle left the roadway and struck a steel storage container.

The driver was injured and transported to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.  Trooper say the man was wearing a seat belt.

The cause of the crash is listed as driving under the influence and charges are pending against him for driving under the influence.
