Bay View, WA – Multiple Skagit County Fire Districts responded to reports of a fully involved structure fire with entrapment around 2:35 a.m. this morning in the 13000 block of Bay View Road.
Firefighters from Fire District 2, Fire District 3, Fire District 5, Fire District 6, Fire District 11, Fire District 13 and the Mount Vernon Fire Department responded to the scene.
According to fire scanner archives, two children were trapped on the second floor of the fire, possibly with an adult female. It was unclear if the children made it out of the fire. An adult female was transported to Skagit Valley Hospital with severe burns and two adult males had injuries.
Investigators continue to work late into the afternoon to confirm the cause of the fire.
Skagit County Sheriff’s Officials would not confirm details of injuries or deaths in the fire.
Details on the fire as well as the cause of the fire will be released by the Skagit County Sheriff’s Office and Skagit County Fire Marshall’s Office when time permits.
Bay View Road is closed at both ends to traffic as investigators work the suspicious fire scene. Please use alternate routes.
