Mount Vernon, WA – Mount Vernon Officers responded to a citizen dispute and an assault around 8:44 p.m. on June 19th, 2017.
According to court documents obtained by SkagitBreaking.com through a public disclosure request, a Mount Vernon man came home to find someone had parked in his parking spot in the 1600 block of N. 26th Street.
The man parked his vehicle behind the vehicle that was already there and went into his residence. Shortly thereafter he heard a commotion and went back outside of his residence to where he had parked his vehicle. The man was then confronted by a second male, who accused him of hitting his vehicle. The second male then pulled out a knife-type object described as brass knuckles with a fixed blade knife attached to one end. The 2nd male then lunged at him with the knife and attempted to stab the first male twice in the chest. The victim sustained defensive wounds on his hand and face from the confrontation. The suspect then demanded the victim move his vehicle to let him drive off or he would continue to stab him. The victim complied and the suspect fled the scene.
