Mount Vernon, WA – The Washington State Patrol responded to a serious injury crash on Northbound I-5 at Milepost 225 in Mount Vernon around 4:04 p.m. on August 25th, 2107.
According to a press memo from the Washington State Patrol, 42-year old Amy Harrison of Marysville was traveling Northbound I-5 in Lane two on a 2016 Canam Roadster Three-wheel Motorcycle when she made an unsafe lane change into lane one and struck a 2003 Toyota Prius being driven by 25-year old Katherine Mceldowney of Mount Vernon. The collision caused both vehicles to roll and they came to rest on the right side of I-5. The driver of the Prius was transported to Skagit Valley Hospital in Mount Vernon. Both the driver of the motorcycle and her passenger, 42-year old Brendan Wold of Marysville were transported to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

Both Vehicles were impounded for safe Keeping by Carl’s Towing.
The press memo states drugs or alcohol were not a factor in the crash. The cause of the crash is listed as unsafe lane change.
