Clear Lake, WA – A 32-year old Clear Lake man has been arrested by Skagit County Sheriff’s Deputies after two teenage girls accused him of sexually assaulting them.
According to a probable cause affidavit of arrest obtained by SkagitBreaking.com through a public disclosure request, the first incident involving the 32-year old Clear Lake man occurred in July of 2016. A relative of a teen juvenile victim called Deputies to report the man, who she knew, had pinned her down at his house while she was visiting a teen friend and told her she needed to “apologize for being so sexy” after her friend had walked out of the room.
The girl told deputies she struggled to get away and refused to apologize as she had not done anything wrong. The Clear Lake man is accused of continuing to harass and assault the teen, while attempting to kiss her and force himself on the girl.
The teen told Deputies that during the struggle, the man continued to tell her to “Apologize or I’m going to strip you down”, as he continued to force himself on the girl and pull up her shirt. He is accused of giving her a Hickey on her stomach against her will during the struggle.
The girl managed to get away from her attacker after 15-20 minutes by kicking him in the groin and she left the residence on foot, where Deputies were called. The man was referred for charges of Assault 4th degree, Communication with a minor for immoral purposes and unlawful imprisonment.
In a second incident in December of 2016, a separate teen reported to Skagit County Sheriff’s Deputies that the same 32-year old man had sexually assaulted her at his home.
Deputies had been called to the mans residence for a suicidal subject. Deputies arrived and took the man into custody on an involuntary mental health hold and transported him to Skagit Valley Hospital. During their investigation, Deputies were informed of the reasons the man had been suicidal. Family members of the second teen victim had been informed that the man had sexually assaulted the teen and confronted him about the incident. An argument followed and the man-made suicidal threats. Deputies arrested the man at Skagit Valley Hospital and booked him into the Skagit County Jail.
The man was initially being held in the Skagit County Jail in lieu of $30,000 bond an on investigative hold for four counts of Child Molestation in the 3rd Degree, two counts of communication with a minor for immoral purposes and one count of indecent liberties. He was released pending trial.
In October of 2018, the man, identified as Johnathon Stoner of Clear Lake, took the case against him to a jury trial in Skagit County Superior Court, where he chose represent himself.
STONER was found GUILTY by a jury of his peers on October 12th, 2018 for the crime of Communication With a Minor for Immoral Purposes. He was also found GUILTY of Child Molestation in the Third Degree.
Mr. Stoner was immediately taken into custody and booked into the Skagit County Community Justice Center. He sentencing hearing will be held at 9:00 a.m. on November, 7th, 2018.
