Mount Vernon, WA – The Skagit County Coroner’s Office released the name and cause of death of the man shot and killed inside a business complex in Mount Vernon on Sunday, December 17th, 2017.
According to the Coroner’s Office, 19-year old Jose L. Zapata died as a result of a gunshot wound to the head. The Coroner’s Office ruled the manner of death is homicide.
20-year old Andres Sanchez-Segovia was arrested in connection to the homicide around 1:30 a.m. on December 18th, 2017 at a residence in the 3300 block of Northwest Avenue in Bellingham, WA.
