Run to Lift Your Neighbors Out of Poverty at Community Action’s 9th Annual Have a Heart Run on April 28, 2018

Mount Vernon, WA – Community Action of Skagit County is excited to announce the return of its annual fundraiser, the Have a Heart Run. The fundraiser will take place on April 28, 2018, at Edgewater Park in Mount Vernon. The goal this year is to raise $30,000 to help lift our neighbors out of poverty!

The Have a Heart Run is a family-friendly event, and is open to both individuals and teams of all sizes and skill levels. It runs along the Skagit River, and includes a 5K run and a 2.5K run/walk. Children 9 and under are free! Each year, nearly 300 people come out to support Community Action of Skagit County.

Community Action of Skagit County is a private 501(c)3 nonprofit in Mount Vernon. The heart of Community Action is creating a spirit of hope by helping people help themselves and each other. They do this by stabilizing families, equipping people to exit poverty, and strengthen safety nets and local pathways out of poverty for their clients.
