Mount Vernon, WA – Mount Vernon Police Officers spotted a 17-year old male who had outstanding warrants for Robbery in the 1st Degree in the 4200 block of College Way in Mount Vernon around 11:00 a.m. on April 5th, 2018.
Officers attempted to stop the vehicle the male was driving and the suspect failed to yield for Officers. The vehicle continued to attempt to elude officers by driving into the Burlington area. The suspect finally just stopped for Officers near Gardner Road and State Route 20 where he was taken into custody without incident.
Witness Oscar Morales wrote on Facebook “went by me on bus College Way like a slow speed chase”
The suspect will be booked into the Juvenile Detention Center for his crimes.
Please note that members of the community listening to the scanner had posted on the Skagit Breaking Facebook page that they heard over the scanner that the suspect might be armed with a weapon. Chris Cammock with the Mount Vernon Police Department clarified with SkagitBreaking.com that the suspect was not armed at the time of his arrest.
