Mount Vernon Police Department Responds to Weapons Offense

Mount Vernon, WA – According to a press release from Lieutenant Mike Moore of the Mount Vernon Police Department, officers responded to reports of a weapons offense on June 2nd 2018, at approximately 1:57pm. Officers responded to the 300 Block of East College Way in Mount Vernon.

The investigation determined that there was an altercation between the occupants of a blue Honda and a silver 4-door passenger car. The male driver of the silver car fired several rounds from a handgun toward the Honda. Both vehicles fled westbound on East College Way. Evidence was located and collected at the scene. There were no reports of injury or property damage. Those involved in the incident have not yet been identified. The investogation is ongoing.
