WSP Identifies Corvette Driver Killed on I-5

Everett, WA: October 10th, 2014. 1:25 pm. The Washington State Patrol responded to a Motor Vehicle Accident on Northbound I-5 near Milepost 189 in Snohomish County, Washington.  Arriving troopers found a blue, 1969 Corvette that was literally torn in half after hitting a tree. According to the press memo, the Corvette was racing with a white SUV Northbound when the driver, 24 year old Jourdan Bradley of Everett, WA, lost control and went off the roadway, striking a tree.  Both the driver and her passenger, 31 year old, Philip Chumley of Everett, Washington were ejected from the vehicle upon impact. Next of Kin was notified by Sargent Sloan of the Washington State Patrol.  The vehicle was impounded to the Washington State Patrol Bullpen. It is unknown at this time if drugs or alcohol were involved. Philip was transported to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. The cause of the crash is listed as Speed. Charges are pending. The Washington State patrol is looking for witnesses that may have seen the White SUV. Witnesses they talked to said the SUV, stopped at the scene, backed up and then left the scene.  Anyone with info on the fleeing vehicle is asked to call WSP detectives @ 360-654-1141.
