Swinomish, WA- Officers with the Swinomish Police Department made several arrests from a known drug house in the 17500 block of 2nd Street in September of 2015.
According to a Probable Cause Affidavit obtained through a public records request, Officers with the Swinomish Police Department received numerous citizen complaints about the amount of foot and vehicular traffic at the home listed above.
Officers conducted a lengthy investigation which included multiple controlled buys of black tar heroin, methamphetamine, Percocet, Methadone and other controlled Narcotics. Officers found that multiple people living in the home were suspected of selling drugs from the home as well as people who were using the home for drug sales but did not live there. Officers also found that some of the residents were self professed gang members.
On September 10th, 2015, a search/arrest warrant was executed on one of the involved parties. He was taken into custody in the 13100 block of Reservation Road. After the arrest, Officers requested a K-9 to conduct an “open-air” sniff around the vehicle the suspect had been driving. Border Patrol agents assisted and K-9 Zzook, conducted an open air search of the vehicle. K-9 Zzook alerted to drugs in the open air area. The vehicle was impounded to the Swinomish Police Department Impound yard for a search warrant application.
Using the US Marshals Service, The Washington State Department of Correction, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Swinomish Police Department, a warrant service was conducted at the Second Street address.
During the warrant service, three additional people were taken into custody and transported to the Skagit County Jail. Each person was booked on arrest warrants issued by the Swinomish Tribal Court.
A search warrant was also obtained for a second vehicle which was also impounded to the Swinomish Police Department impound yard.
The probable cause affidavit states that two additional people were arrested in connection with the drug sting, Michelle Perez and Jorge Osoria-Rivera (case #15-1-01047-5) are co defendants in this case.
Michelle Perez is currently being held in the Skagit County Jail in Lieu of a $150,000.00 bond. She is charged with five (5) counts of Violation of the Uniformed Controlled Substance Act, 1 Count of Violation of the Uniformed Controlled Substance Act-Conspiracy to Commit. She is also being held on a no bail warrant for another agency and on December 22nd, 2015 charges of Identity Theft 2nd Degree were added and she is being held in lieu of a $10,000.00 bond.
In a quick search of the Skagit County Jail Roster, it appears the other people arrested have since been released.
