Snohomish County Women Injured in Grant County Crash

Grant County, Washington-  The Washington State Patrol responded to an injury  crash on July 30th, 2016 around 6:54 am on State Route 17, 9 miles North of Soap Lake. 

According to a press memo from the Washington State Patrol,   61-year old Cheryl Sicklovan,   of Arlington, Washington was traveling Southbound SR17 in a silver 2007 GMC Envoy, towing a 2015 Nash Travel Trailer when she lost control of the vehicle. The press memo states after the driver lost control of the vehicle, she over-corrected and the vehicle left the roadway to the right, where it rolled over and down an embankment coming to rest at the bottom. She was not injured in the crash and the press memo states she was wearing a seat belt.

A passenger in the vehicle, 60 year old, Kathy Gray of Darrington, was injured and airlifted to Confluence Health in Wenatchee.

The GMC was damaged and towed for safe keeping by DJ Auto Wrecking. The Travel Trailer was totaled and impounded for safe keeping by Central Towing.

The cause of the crash is listed as Speed too Fast and charges of Speed too fast were pending against the driver.

Drugs or alcohol were not a factor in the crash.
