The neighbor watched through binoculars as the two men unloaded several items from the boat including two large white garbage cans and a large black square shaped item. The men placed the items near a silver car parked near the mobile home. The men then set off fireworks and the neighbor called 9-1-1 to report the suspicious activity and checked on the neighbors house where they found a ladder propped up against the home with a broken second floor window. The sliding door facing the lake was wide open and the home had been ransacked.
Two Skagit County Deputies responded to the wide mobile home at 7:11 am and attempted to make contact with the residents. Deputies could hear voices inside but no one would answer the door.

They were identified as 22-year old Chase Echols, his mother, 52-year old Dianne Echols, 23-year old Kyle Gimness and his girlfriend, 18 year old Ashley Davis.

During a search of the mobile home deputies located multiple bottles of alcohol stolen from three of the homes as well as the plastic containers, tools, and fireworks.
