Sedro Woolley Police Respond to Possible Attempted Child Abduction

Sedro Woolley, Washington-  The Sedro Woolley Police Department Responded to a suspicious complaint around 9:30 am this morning in the area of North Reed St and Cedar Tree Drive.

A 9-1-1 caller was calling to report she had contacted a child running through the area screaming that a male had tried to grab her. Sedro- Woolley Police Officers responded to the area and the child was unhurt and now safe with family members.

Sedro-Woolley Officers set up containment with the assistance of Burlington Police Officers, Washington State Patrol Troopers,  Upper Skagit Tribal Police Officers and Deputies from the Skagit County Sheriff’s Office.  A K9 track of the area was conducted but was unsuccessful in locating a suspect.

The descriptions of the subject involved is a male with brown hair, wearing a red shirt and stripped pants.

The male is possibly with a juvenile male between 6-11 years old. They were last seen northbound on foot from the area.

Officers and Detectives continue to investigate.

Sedro Woolley Detectives wrote on their Official Facebook page that the incident is ongoing and “Our citizens cooperation has been greatly appreciated.”
