Concrete, WA –  The Skagit County Sheriff’s Office has arrested  34-year old Billy Facemire of Concrete on suspicion of Burglary, multiple counts of theft of a firearm and trafficking in stolen property.

According to a probable cause affidavit of arrest, obtained by SkagitBreaking.com through a public disclosure request, a homeowner in Concrete reported to Skagit County Sheriff’s Deputies that his home had been burglarized on August 29th, 2016. The homeowner reported jewelry, watches and  several guns were missing.

On September 9th, 2016, Skagit County Sheriff’s Deputies received a tip that a couple of the watches believed to be stolen in the burglary had been located at a home in the 46000 block of Baker Loop Road in Concrete.  The suspect, Billy Facemire,   was known to the victim and had been to his house previously.

On September 17th, 2016, Mr. Facemire texted the homeowner saying he had located one of the guns, a glock, that  he had stolen but needed $150.00 to get it back.  Mr. Facemire then texted the homeowner a picture of the gun to prove he had it and that it belonged to the homeowner.  The homeowner confirmed the handgun belonged to him and recognized it due to a unique feature.

On September 29th, 2016, deputies located Mr. Facemire at his home. He was mirandized and admitted to Deputies to being the one who committed the burglary.   Mr. Facemire told deputies that he entered the home and stole four (4) handguns from the house along with several watches.   He told deputies he sold three (3) of the guns to a subject in Cedar Grove for $100 each and kept the Glock for himself.  He told deputies  he later sold the Glock for $50.00 to another subject but had since gotten it back and that is when he  admitted to trying to sell the stolen gun back to the homeowner for $150.00 so he could buy drugs with the money.  Skagit County Sheriff’s Deputies were able to confirm with a witness that Mr. Facemire had sold one of the stolen handguns to a male but he returned the gun to Mr. Facemire later when he asked for it back.

The four stolen guns have not been located by Deputies.

Mr. Facemire admitted to Deputies that he has a drug problem and has committed burglaries to support his drug habit.  He has a history of drug abuse and went to drug court previously for committing several burglaries.

Mr. Facemire was taken into custody and booked into the Skagit County Jail on September 28th, 2016. He is currently being held in Lieu of $50,000 bail for 1st degree residential burglary, 4 counts of theft of a firearm and trafficking in stolen property in the 1st degree.

On September 30th, 2016, Mr. Facemire was arrested again by Skagit County Deputies at the Skagit County Jail for 1st degree attempted Escape and 3rd Degree Malicious Mischief.
